Replacing Suarez

After Luis Suarez tried to make an afternoon meal out of Branislav Ivanovic, the Liverpool forward will receive a lengthy suspension. Fantasy managers holding the infantile Suarez who have transfers left have several options to replace him.

Suarez carried a value of 9.1 and that is likely to drop by .3 when values are adjusted. There are many attractive forwards to choose from, including Christian Benteke of Aston Villa, Manchester United's Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney. However, Sir John recommends replacement forwards who will have double games in Round 36. It is also important to look at the teams those players will be up against. Here are nine players, with value and their remaining schedule.

Carlos Tevez, Manchester City, 8.6 (West Ham, Swansea, Reading, Norwich, and WBA. There will also be an FA Cup Final on May 11.)
I recommend (and have already made the transfer) Tevez as the best replacement for Suarez. Negatives include the FA Cup Final, and the Roberto Mancini lineup rotation factor. However, Tevez is on a run of starts, has been scoring, and Sergio Aguero has been struggling with injury. City has the easiest schedule of the nine possible replacements.

Romelu Lukaku, WBA, 6.1 (Southampton, Wigan, Norwich, Manchester United, and Manchester City).
Lukaku would be Sir John's second choice since he will bring the most additional budget that could be used on other player transfers. However, the final two games for WBA are killers.

Arouna Kone, Wigan, 7.1 (Tottenham, WBA, Swansea, Arsenal, and Aston Villa)
Kone is on a team fighting for survival and will be in the lineup for each game. The schedule is also very demanding.

Jermain Defoe, Tottenham, 6.3 (Wigan, Southampton, Stoke, Sunderland, and Chelsea)
Defoe scored his first goal on Sunday since Boxing Day. Whether or not that is good enough for him to be in the starting XI the rest of the season is not certain.

Demba Ba, Chelsea, 7.3 (Swansea, Manchester United, Aston Villa, Everton, Tottenham)
A tough schedule and the Rafa Benitez rotation challenge.

Fernando Torres, Chelsea, 7.4 (See Ba's comments)

Emmanuel Adebayor, Tottenham, 6.5 (See Defoe for schedule)
Adebayor is not in the best of form and may lose his place to Defoe.

Sergio Aguero, Manchester City, 7 (See Tevez for schedule)
Aguero has been in and out of the lineup and subject to The Scarf's rotation.

Edin Dzeko, Manchester City, 7.1 (See above)
