Time to drop the big names?

With eight Premier League rounds remaining, fantasy managers are looking to close the season with big points.

Swansea City's Michu (who still has a very low value of 7.6) remains the No. 1 fantasy scoring midfielder for the season; however, he has just two goals in the past 12 matches.

Arsenal's Theo Walcott (8.3) has not had a goal in his last five games; Chelsea's Juan Mata (8.9) has no goals and one assist in his last four matches; Manchester City's David Silva (8.1) has no goals and two assists in his last six; Manchester United's Robin van Persie (10.2), after scoring six goals in five games, is on a run with one goal and two assists in his last six. Chelsea's Demba Ba (7.9) has two goals over a 10-game stretch, but mixed in are two games where he did not play, one game with just one minute and another with 10 minutes.

So who are the players in good scoring form? Do you drop a van Persie or a Mata? If so, consider the following (G-goals, A-assists):

Eden Hazard, Chelsea: 2 G, 2 A last 4 games, 8.2 value

Philippe Coutinho, Liverpool, 2 G, 2 A last 4 games, 6.6 value

Stewart Downing, Liverpool, 2 G, 1 A last 4 games, 6.9 value

Carlos Tevez, Manchester City 2 G last 3 games, 8.5 value

Wayne Rooney, Manchester United, 2 G, 2 A last 2 games, 8.5 value

Dimitar Berbatov, Fulham: 3 G last 3 games, 7.7 value

Arouna Kone, Wigan: 3 G last 3 games, 6.6 value

Andreas Weimann, Aston Villa: 2 G, 2 A last 4 games, 6.4 value

Gabriel Agbonlahor, Aston Villa: 2 G last 2 games, 6.2 value

Christian Benteke, Aston Villa: 2 G last 2 games, 7.6 value

Romelu Lukaku, WBA: 4 G last 4 games, 6.4 value

It is important to keep track of teams that will have double game weeks. Those we know of are Arsenal, Everton, West Ham, and Manchester United in Gameweek 33 and Swansea and Wigan in Gameweek 36. Swansea will not play in Gameweek 33. Still to be announced are double game weeks for Fulham, Manchester City and Chelsea.
