On Sunday, David Moyes will be hoping his Everton side can extend their impressive home form; Everton are unbeaten in 12 home games since Arsenal's win in March. Tottenham are the visitors and Everton boast strong home form against the North London side. Since a 2-1 defeat in February 2007, Everton are unbeaten against Spurs in five home meetings with three draws followed by wins in the last two.

The most recent Goodison meeting was in March with Nikica Jelavic making his mark in an Everton shirt. On his full debut, the Croatian scored the game's only goal with a smart first-time finish past Brad Friedel. Everton rode their luck at times, especially in the second half; Tottenham had a goal disallowed and hit the woodwork twice.

Everton's other recent victory came in January 2011. Notching his first goal in almost a year, Louis Saha opened the scoring before Rafael van der Vaart restored parity. All this came in a hectic opening with barely ten minutes played and the match already witnessing two goals. Much improved after the interval, Everton were the better side and Seamus Coleman netted a deserved winner in the 75th minute.

Prior to the two Everton wins, the two teams played out to three consecutive draws. The most recent of the three was an enthralling 2-2 draw with Everton coming from behind to snatch a point. Level at half-time, quick second half goals saw the visitors into a two-goal lead by the hour mark. Led by the impressive Coleman, Everton dragged themselves level thanks to Saha and Tim Cahill. Tim Howard ended the match as Everton's hero after saving a 90th minute penalty from Jermain Defoe.

The second of the three draws came on May 5, 2009 with a drab affair ending 0-0. Already lacking in clear chances, the poor weather ensured a game low on quality. The only positive to come from the match involved Everton goalkeeper Howard. The penalty hero in the subsequent fixture, this match saw Howard beat Neville Southall's clean sheet record of 16 league games.

The first fixture of this five-match unbeaten run was another goalless draw. Once again, both sides offered up little in the way of attractive football or goal-scoring opportunities. Overall, the dour match is known more for the debut of Jonathan Woodgate than anything else; the Spurs defender putting in a man-of-the-match performance.

Stuttering of late with seven draws in nine games, Everton will look to continue their strong home form against Spurs, as they search for a 13th unbeaten game at Goodison Park. Kevin Mirallas and Coleman could return to bolster the home side with Mirallas' creativity sorely missed in recent weeks. The visitors will be without Gareth Bale after the hamstrung winger pulled up in the win at Fulham.

Finding the right balance between attack and defence is proving problematic for Everton this season. The return of Darron Gibson will aid this, the midfielder shores up the defence and provides an attacking platform. After recent draws against Arsenal and Manchester City, three points are imperative with Everton needing to return to winning ways.
