Tune into ESPNEWS at 2:30am ET for tonight's ESPN FC. (We return to ESPN2 at 5:30pm ET next week! See: Australian Open) We look back at Manchester United's crucial League Cup 2nd leg against Sunderland; Will United do the double by advancing to Wembley and signing Juan Mata in the same day? Barcelona is an action, as well, as they travel to Valencia to play Levante in the Copa Del Rey, while AC Milan faces Udinese in the Coppa Italia. Finally, we discuss if U.S. soccer is missing a charcater like the NFL's Richard Sherman. Is that what the sport needs to attract the casual fan? We debate!

In case you missed it, here are the highlights from last night's show.

How would Juan Mata fit into Man United's XI? Is he the right signing for the Red Devils? The FC team debated.

Former Premier League ref Peter Walton joined the show to discuss the weekend's most controversial calls. He went head-to-head with Shaka Hislop on Santi Cazorla's second goal and explained why Luis Suarez did in fact earn a penalty vs Aston Villa.

In #AskTheRef, Peter discussed contentious decisions in the Chelsea-Man United match, why he became a referee, & why refs do not have post-match interviews in England.

In #FCExtraTime, the panel discussed who they see winning the Champions League tie between Manchester City and Barcelona, and why pundits were so hard on Andre Villas-Boas but are so soft on David Moyes.
