Satiananthan, Durakovic target winning starts in Felda vs. Perak game

Felda United welcome Perak FA in a clash that will pit new coaches Mehmet Durakovic and B. Satiananthan against each other in round six of the Malaysia Super League (MSL) on Saturday.

Former Selangor boss Durakovic replaced Karl Heinz-Weigang at Perak in a shocking development on Wednesday, while Satiananthan was also appointed to take charge of Felda earlier in the week.

Perak forward Vladislav Mirchev, who set up a goal before netting the winner against Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) last week, wants to take that winning momentum against the Fighters at Tun Abdul Razak Stadium.

"The win against JDT will be a momentum booster for us to take into the coming games," said Mirchev via the club's official page.

"I have failed before this, but I have always bounced back from that to help my team and give the fans the best," added the Bulgarian, who featured for BATE Borisov against Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League during his European career.

Perak are tied second with Pahang in the MSL, just a point behind leaders Kedah.

Felda, on the other hand, will need to swiftly bounce back to winning ways as they lie second from bottom.

Kedah, meanwhile, welcome the visit of bottom club Penang hoping to strengthen their grip on top spot with another victory at Darul Aman Stadium.

Tan Cheng Hoe's swashbuckling side have won four of six of their matches in 2017, with goals coming from five different players to indicate their strength across all departments.

Reigning MSL champions JDT, meanwhile, will aim to banish a stuttering start to the season with a victory over T-Team at Larkin Stadium.

The Southern Tigers are still smarting from the Perak loss which ended their 25-match unbeaten run in the league, but the midweek 3-0 victory Cambodia's Boeung Ket Angkor in the AFC Cup would have restored their spirits.

Other matches will see Kelantan face Selangor at Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium, while Melaka United entertain the in-form Pahang.
