Bayern Munich's Franck Ribery injures thigh, in fitness race to face Arsenal

Franck Ribery is set for two weeks on the sidelines after leaving Bayern Munich training on Tuesday with a thigh strain.

The Bundesliga club confirmed the timeframe for his recovery, which would put in jeopardy his participation in the Champions League round-of-16 clash against Arsenal on Feb. 15.

Ribery will miss Bundesliga games against Schalke and Ingolstadt, either side of a DFB Pokal match against Wolfsburg.

The Frenchman has two goals in 13 Bundesliga appearances for Bayern this season.

Bayern also confirmed that Arturo Vidal is closing in on a return from injury, while Arjen Robben participated fully after being limited in training on Monday. Kingsley Coman, Xabi Alonso and Philipp Lahm all trained on their own on Tuesday.
