Arturo Vidal and Kingsley Coman ready for Bayern Munich returns - Ancelotti

Arturo Vidal and Kingsley Coman will both be available as Bayern Munich resume their title defence with a trip to Freiburg on Friday, coach Carlo Ancelotti has said.

Bayern won the 2017 Telekom Cup at the weekend, but their victory was soured when Vidal was substituted with a rib injury late on.

The Chile midfielder was unable to take part in full training earlier this week but Ancelotti said he could line up at Freiburg after recovering.

"He trained on Wednesday," Ancelotti said. "He received a blow to the back as well, but he can play."

France winger Coman suffered a muscle injury while on international duty in November and has not played for his club since, but Ancelotti said: "Coman is also ready for tomorrow."

Bayern lead the Bundesliga by three points from RB Leipzig, who they beat in the final game before Christmas, and Ancelotti added: "The team is in good condition, both mentally and physically.

"We are all ready and want to carry on the good work from the Leipzig game."

Thiago and Jerome Boateng will both miss the game as they continue to recover from injury.
