Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery wants future filled with 'fun and wins'

Frank Ribery has said Bayern Munich have "a big heart" and he shares their mentality after signing a new deal in Bavaria.

Ribery, 33, extended his contract until the summer of 2018, having arrived from Marseille in 2007.

The Frenchman, who has played 333 Bayern games and notched up 108 goals, told FC Bayern TV: "It's like a family here. The club has a big heart and I'm exactly the same. I share that mentality."

Bayern bounced back from two successive defeats to beat Bayer Leverkusen 2-1 on Saturday, the day after the re-election of Uli Hoeness as club president.

Hoeness played a pivotal role in bringing Ribery to Germany, and the winger said: "It's been a top weekend for everyone at Bayern.

"We sealed an important win against Leverkusen, Uli Hoeness is finally back with us and I've signed on for another year. That's really positive and we've got to carry on like this.

"I want to win everything with Bayern. It's one of the best clubs in the world. At a club with Bayern's culture and tradition, you have to win everything.

"We've gone through so much together in the past and I hope the next 18 months will be full of fun, laughs and wins.

"You can never say you've won enough trophies."
