Bayern's Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg: I want to leave for a club with 'perspective'

Bayern Munich midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg believes his future no longer lies with the German double winners.

Hojbjerg, 20, spent the season on loan at Schalke, but failed to establish himself in the starting XI, playing in 23 league matches but starting only 13 of them.

"I want to leave and find the right place for me. I need to find something that fits me," Hojbjerg told Danish newspaper BT.

"It's clear that it won't be a top club. I want a place where there is a perspective. That's important for me because I've experienced a lot at only 20 years."

The Denmark international, dubbed the new Sergio Busquets by Pep Guardiola in his first season at Bayern, also spent the second half of the 2014-15 campaign on loan at FC Augsburg and will return to Munich this summer before considering his next step.

However, he did not rule out a move away from the Bundesliga.

He added: "I look in every direction. It's about finding the right place. It'll show whether that's in Spain, Italy, England or Germany."
