Bayer Leverkusen have dismissed a report linking Borussia Dortmund coach Thomas Tuchel with their managerial position. Tuchel's future at Dortmund is in doubt after a disagreement with the club's hierarchy, and although he has a year left on his contract and BVB have said they will hold talks with their head coach at the end of the season, it is possible that he will leave the post. Leverkusen, meanwhile, have announced they will part ways with interim coach Tayfun Korkut following their final match at Hertha Berlin on Saturday. This has led to speculation in Rheinische Post earlier that Leverkusen have made a move for Tuchel and offered him a contract. "Looking at our situation, we can't prevent that names are attached to us, but there's nothing to it," Leverkusen sporting director Rudi Voller told kicker, while Tuchel's agent Olaf Meinking said to Funke Media that "this not an issue." Meinking added: "Thomas Tuchel's contract at BVB is valid for next season. There has not been an offer like that." Leverkusen's shareholder committee, meanwhile, has backed the club's current leadership following a difficult season which has seen them finish outside the European positions. Werner Wenning, the head of the committee, said in a statement released on the club's official website that Leverkusen are "convinced" that they will return to "a winning track" under the leadership of managing director Michael Schade and Rudi Voller.
