Liverpool's Philippe Coutinho would 'totally fit' Barcelona - Neymar

Barcelona and Brazil star Neymar says Philippe Coutinho would "totally fit" at the Camp Nou, and counted his countryman as a Premier League player he would like to see join the Blaugrana.

Neymar and Coutinho are in Uruguay ahead of Brazil's top-of-the-table World Cup qualifier against La Celeste on Thursday.

However, the former Santos man said in a pre-recorded interview with PokerStars that he sees the Liverpool maestro as natural to one day put on a Barcelona shirt, despite having recently signed a new contract with the Reds.

"A Premier League player that I would like to have in Barcelona is Coutinho," Neymar said.

"I believe Philippe Coutinho is a player that would totally fit in Barcelona."

Neymar was the key figure in Barcelona's improbable 6-1 second-leg comeback victory against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League round of 16, scoring two goals, setting up another and winning the penalty for a fourth.

This came after the former Brazil captain led his country to their first Olympic gold medal in football last summer at the historic Maracana stadium, where he scored a goal and converted the winning penalty in the final.

Asked to compare the emotions he felt in those matches, Neymar said: "I believe that, in terms of importance, it was one of the best [performances] and in terms of emotion, it was the highest.

"It overcame the Olympics, the Confederations Cup and the Champions League final.

"The emotion of the sixth goal, everything we felt there, in that moment, overcame any game I have ever played.

"Nevertheless, in terms of importance, the Olympics were the most important."
