Barcelona accredit 852 journalists from 36 countries for Clasico

Barcelona have accredited 852 journalists for the Clasico against Real Madrid at the Camp Nou on Saturday.

That number includes photographers, commentators, camera operators and technicians, with 151 different media organisations represented.

As well as the major European and South American nations having journalists at the match, there will also be representatives from Burkina Faso, Angola and Vietnam after accreditation requests arrived from 36 different countries.

A large number of Japanese journalists were present at Luis Enrique's prematch news conference on Friday, with the club's recent sponsorship deal with Rakuten the reason for the increase in media from Asia.

The game will be broadcast in 185 countries around the world, with the kick-off time (16.15 CET) specifically chosen by La Liga to allow the maximum number of countries to be able to tune in.

A news release from Barca on Friday claimed as many as 650 million people will be following the game on television, with 99,000 present at the ground.

Viewers of the 232nd Clasico will also be benefit from 360-degree replays for the first time.

The Camp Nou has been equipped with 28 hi-tech Intel cameras to allow the cutting edge technology to make its debut in football this weekend.
