Daniel Georgievski to leave Melbourne Victory for Newcastle Jets

Defender Daniel Georgievski will leave Melbourne Victory at the end of the A-League season to link up with the Newcastle Jets, for the next two seasons.

Georgievski, a Sydney-born Macedonia international, has played 19 of his 79 games with the Victory this season after joining in 2014.

The 29-year-old will boost a struggling Jets defence which has conceded 46 goals in 24 games this season -- the equal-second worst record in the league.
