Arsenal play down talk of departure for first-team coach Boro Primorac

Arsenal have told Sky Sports that reports that first-team coach Boro Primorac is set to leave the club this summer are "wild speculation."

Primorac has worked alongside Arsene Wenger at Arsenal since 1996, joining the club five months after the Frenchman arrived, while he also teamed up with him in Japan.

Reports had linked Primorac with the manager's job at Turkish side Konyaspor, but an Arsenal spokesperson confirmed to Sky Sports that the club were "completely unaware" of his intention to leave and return to management.

The Arsenal spokesperson added that reports stating Primorac is set to depart the Emirates Stadium are "wild speculation."

Wenger could depart Arsenal himself in the summer after nearly 21 years in charge, with his contract due to expire at the end of the season.

He has said he will make a decision on his future before then, with many Arsenal fans calling for him to leave the club.
