Calum Chambers relishing chance to face Arsenal nemesis Didier Drogba

Arsenal defender Calum Chambers says he is relishing the chance to play against the club's former nemesis Didier Drogba when the Gunners face the MLS All-Stars next week.

Drogba has scored 15 goals against the Gunners, most of them while at Chelsea, and always seemed to be at his best when facing Arsene Wenger's side. The Ivorian striker, now plying his trade at Montreal Impact, will get another chance to torment his former London rivals after being selected for the MLS All-Star team that will face Arsenal in San Jose, California, on July 29.

But the 21-year-old Chambers, who was only a child during Drogba's heyday with Chelsea, is looking forward to the challenge.

"It will be a good test playing against a player with such experience," Chambers told the Arsenal website. "He is probably the player I'm looking forward to playing the most. He just always scores important goals. The way he plays, obviously he is strong and is a big character. To match up with players like that is what you want to do and who you want to play against.

"That for me will be a great experience to play against him."

Even at the age of 38, Drogba has scored five goals in 11 games for the Impact so far this season. And Chambers insists his mix of strength and technique will always make him tough for a defender to face.

"He was always in the right place at the right time and the way he plays, he's got a great finish on him as well and he is strong," Chambers added. "He has the whole package which makes him such a handful."

The MLS side will also include the likes of Andrea Pirlo, David Villa and Kaka, meaning the Arsenal players will be up against a number of familiar faces. They then take on Mexican club Chivas de Guadalajara in Los Angeles three days later.
